Crabfest at Aqua blue

Andrew Neveils - Points North Magazine

Alpharetta is swimming with excitement for a “crab-tastic” menu, and Aqua blue is bringing it in by the bushels through April 18. Their crab inspired menu is sure to please any crab aficionado or those who just want to stick their toes in the water when it comes to trying something new. Here’s a sample of the delicious variety available:

  • She-crab soup – a creamy blend spiked with sherry and spiced hominy frite ($7)
  • Jumbo lump crab cakes with avocado, mango, chili aioli, rice wine vinegar and wasabi honey mustard ($15)
  • Soft shell crab rolls made with thin asparagus, crab cake, sweet herb, futomaki, soy paper and red tobiko served with wasabi honey mustard and fresh lemon ($14)
  • Chilled Florida stone crab claws served with traditional mustard sauce (MP)
  • Drunken Crab Legs – a combination of king and snow crabs served with tri-color tiny potatoes, corn on the cob slather and jicama slaw ($30)
  • Large Florida stone crab claws served with green peppercorn cocktail, traditional mustard sauce, tri-color tiny potatoes, corn on the cob slather and jicama slaw (MP)

My mouth is watering just looking at the menu, but the only way to appease my appetite is to steer my car towards this beacon of blue. The prices are incredible, but nothing beats a taste of the salty ocean right here in North Atlanta.
